NCB Conference - True Biographies of Nations? Exploring the Cultural Journeys of Dictionaries of National Biography
Thursday 7 April 2016

The NCB is hosting an international conference, exploring the cultural journeys of dictionaries of national biography, at the National Library of Australia on 1-2 July 2016.

At 5pm at University House on 30th June, the eve of the conference, we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the launch of volume one of the Australian Dictionary of Biography.

The conference will bring together academics and general editors of national dictionaries of biography from across the world. Join us in exploring the opportunities and challenges in producing biographical dictionaries in the digital age.
